Demo Zervoudakis
Demo Zervoudakis’ work captures the human interaction with the natural landscape in the form of escape in disguise. The artist takes the role of the narrator and peeks into tiny vignettes of reality without interruption.

Zervoudakis observes from afar, wholly detached from the action, and encapsulates the magnitude of the seascape in relation to the human figures acting around it. Representing patience and the human force: The narrator climbs, locating a vantage point to spectate action and composes a frame with the magnitude of the landscape that will overpower the human element.
Ultimately, this symphony of a bird’s eye view is achieved without the use of any other technology (i.e., drone) other than his trusty DSLR.

Moments are raw, unadulterated, and with zero interference from the narrator. The nostalgic views of summer memories and the personal introspections of both the subjects and the photographer serve as a reminder of our need for distraction from everyday life, and coexistence with nature. The fluidity of water, the way it constantly transforms the landscape, and the ever-changing subject within his view are cathartic and a transformative experience for both the photographer and the viewer.
